Gabby started her dance training at the age of 3 at Miss Parry’s School of Dance in Albury and instantly fell in love with Ballet. Throughout her years training Gabby has trained in many forms of dance including jazz, contemporary, tap, commercial, musical theatre but her true love has always been for classical ballet.
From 8 years old, Gabby began training in the Royal Academy of Dance Ballet syllabus and examined through each grade until Advanced 2, receiving distinctions in her exams.
Gabby studied dance through all of high school at James Fallon High School, in 2021 she finished year 12 receiving a high band score in her HSC and a Callback nomination for her choreography. Gabby was to be part of the Riverina Dance Ensemble for 7 years and the had the opportunity to audition for the NSW State School Dance Ensemble and was chosen to be part of a select ensemble to train with industry professionals in Sydney and opportunities to perform at various Festivals such as the School Spectacular. In 2019 Gabby successfully auditioned to be a featured dancer. Gabby beamed across the stage as the Scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz section. Being part of School Spectacular exposed Gabby to the choreography process of large-scale productions.
After receiving a scholarship to a Jason Coleman Ministry of Dance program, Gabby was invited to be a Part of the Jason Coleman MOD Star program where regional dancers were engaged in a program to expose them to styles not offered in regional areas. Gabby then enrolled for regular classes and travelled to Melbourne to attend weekend classes. At these classes she was noticed and offered a position in the Pre professional Development Program for exceptional dancers in 2020. Then covid hit, Victoria was locked down and she was locked out in NSW. This altered Gabby’s career in dance to another focus and steered her towards teaching.
Gabby began teaching with MT Dance Creative at the beginning of 2022 and loves being apart of the team! Her passion lies in teaching classical ballet and musical theatre and she has loved being able to create some magic with the MT Dance Creative students.
